Think of our autonomous cloud cost management platform as a self-driving car - you'll be the expert driver who also understands how the car works. As a Senior Cloud FinOps Analyst, you'll own a set of operational activities that keeps our customers discount instrument portfolio performing at the highest level across an increasingly complex set of FinOps functions.

This is a hands-on, analytical role at the intersection of cloud FinOps: service usage, commitment discounts, risk mitigation, and data analysis. You'll dig into complex AWS/Azure/GCP cost and usage data, work with Reserved Instances and Savings Plans, and apply sharp problem-solving skills to ensure our autonomous platform delivers optimal outcomes for customers.

This role is ideal for someone who has been the go-to expert in a complex finance or cost management environment and is ready to become a world-class FinOps practitioner.

What You'll Do

  • Perform cost and usage analysis and FinOps operations to support and improve our autonomous cloud optimization system

  • Maximize customer savings by working with our automation to ensure that discount instruments (Reserved Instances and Savings Plans) are optimized across AWS, Azure, and GCP

  • Identify and resolve operational gaps, anomalies, and edge cases within tactical and strategic use of discount instruments and service usage

  • Proactively leverage relevant data to drive sound decisions that mitigate risk and maximize customer savings

  • Take ownership of operational challenges end-to-end - from diagnosis to resolution

What You Bring

Required

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - you cut through noise, find the signal, and act on it

  • Unafraid of math! Comfort working with numbers, reservation and savings plan discount instruments, and service use data, with spreadsheet-based analysis

  • Meticulous attention to detail with a track record of accuracy and follow-through.

  • Self-directed work style with a strong sense of ownership

Preferred

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP discount instruments

  • Deep knowledge of cloud FinOps concepts: Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, cost & usage data, and cloud billing mechanics

  • Experience with FinOps tools or platforms

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

  • Background in cloud cost management or finance in a technology environment

Package

  • Competitive salary

  • Long-term incentive program

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Benefits including medical and dental insurance, 401(k)

  • Career growth opportunities as an individual contributor to team leader

  • Work from home (we're a fully remote team)

  • Opportunity to be an early part of and shape a start-up culture
