Responsibilities for candidates

The software application and support team is seeking talented and enthusiastic summer interns to contribute towards key projects supporting the Department of Energy's national security mission. Experience a work environment that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and partnership. The ideal candidate will be working toward a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related STEM degree.

The Successful Candidate will:

• Work with the Business Applications team to design , implement and manage software applications through writing/ debugging code
• Participate in code reviews and other quality assurance activities
• Troubleshooting software issues
• Work in an contribute to an atmosphere of trust and integrity within the Business Applications team

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS (or Equiv) + 1 or more yrs of university education
• Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in an undergraduate STEM program
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Preferred Qualifications:

• Majoring in computer science, software engineering, or similar STEM degree
• Strong critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills
• Python, C#, Linus, SQL
