The Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative Front Office at Savannah River National Laboratory is looking for a driven, curious, and self-directed intern to assist with advancing the AMC's mission and capability areas in high power computing, artificial intelligence, digital twin, and other strategic areas.

You will be on the front lines of innovation - working directly with new technologies, research experts, and aiding with ensuring the AMC is aligned with the DOE mission to support American manufacturing.

If you're interested in the intersection of technology, business, and AI-enabled workflows, this role is designed to give you hands-on experience doing all three.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Help design executive level dashboards
  • Work alongside research experts to help them advance the AMC missions
  • Apply learned knowledge to an AMC strategic plan

What Success Looks Like

By the end of the summer, you will have:

  • Created a executive level dashboard
  • Apply learned knowledge to an AMC strategic plan
  • Become knowledgeable in how cutting-edge technology leads advanced manufacturing
  • Create a poster describing your role and time at the AMC

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelors degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related STEM field
  • Comfortable operating in both technical and business conversations
  • Self-starter who can take direction and run with it
  • Familiarity with AI tools and curiosity about building workflows with them
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with computer science, artificial intelligence, and workflows
  • Background in energy, manufacturing, or applied science
  • Exposure to sales, outreach, or customer-facing roles
