Accounts Receivable Specialist Location: Ontario, CA About the Role We're looking for a detailoriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a fastpaced, collaborative finance team. In this role, you'll take ownership of daytoday AR operations, support monthly close activities, and partner crossfunctionally to help ensure accurate, timely cash application and collections. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving discrepancies, and communicating across departments in a business environment. What You'll Be Doing * Process and apply accounts receivable transactions in the accounting system (ACH, wire transfers, credit cards, and checks) * Manage and oversee the credit card process, including troubleshooting issues and ensuring accuracy * Enter and maintain monthly subscription details, including payment changes, expirations, and declined transactions * Perform timely and accurate account reconciliations across all AR payment types * Research and resolve chargebacks, declined payments, NSF transactions, and short payments * Execute the monthly AR close process, including AR module close and reconciliations * Manage collection efforts while maintaining strong internal and external relationships * Support internal and external audit requests and assist with special projects as needed What We're Looking For Required Qualifications * Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's Degree is a plus) * 2+ years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role within a business environment * Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs * Working knowledge of GAAP, fair credit practices, and collection regulations * Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all departments * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Why You'll Like This Role * Clear ownership over core AR processes * Exposure to audits and monthend close activities * Collaborative environment with crossdepartment interaction * Opportunity to strengthen technical accounting and Excel skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ontario, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.47/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
