We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our team and help build scalable, high-quality applications. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the entire technology stack-from frontend interfaces to backend services and databases-and has a strong understanding of modern development practices, automation, and cloud native architecture. This role will also contribute to infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

This role requires full-time, on-site presence, Monday through Friday, at our customer location with the U.S. Space Force in Colorado Springs, CO.

Design, build, and maintain end- to- end web applications, APIs, and backend services.

Required:

• U.S. citizenship required, with ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense TS/SCI clearance; Non U.S. citizens cannot be considered.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 18+ years of software development experience (fullstack or backend), ~OR~ a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
• Availability to work on-site five days per week in Colorado Springs, CO.
• Strong proficiency with server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, .NET, or similar).
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab (CLI and Runners), or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of automation and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Experience using Ansible for configuration management and system provisioning.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active U.S. Department of Defense TS/SCI clearance.
• Proficiency with front-end technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience with microservices or event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of API design principles and best practices (REST).
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for both frontend and backend systems.
• Understanding of security best practices, secure coding, secrets management, SBOMs generation, and DevSecOps metrics (DORA).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Background in agile methodologies and DevSecOps workflows.
• Familiarity with GitLab Runners, Sonatype IQ, or ACAS/Nessus.

For this role, the compensation range for candidates in Colorado is $123k - 180k*.

*Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. FTI has a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
