About the Job

The Group Fitness Instructor (Temp Casual) reports to the Group Fitness Coordinator.

The Group Fitness Instructor (TC) will be responsible for...

  • Execute intentional fitness assessment to determine ideal fitness program design for clients.
  • Train a diverse group of clientele in a group setting.
  • Coach and educate participants with varying skill levels, focusing on strength and cardiovascular training, progression and the safe execution of exercises.
  • Promote fitness program services as needed.
  • Be familiar with HIPAA procedures and execute safe practices to promote safe keeping of HIPAA protected information.

Work Responsibilities:
Skill (% out of 100)

  • 40%: Execute intentional fitness assessment to determine ideal fitness program design for clients.
  • 40%: Coach and educate participants with varying skill levels, focusing on strength and cardiovascular training, progression and the safe execution of exercises.
  • 20%: Maintain detailed records of client information, questionnaires, and session usage.

The employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must possess a personal trainer certification from an approved NCCA accredited certifying body such as ACE, approved ACE certification, ACSM, NSCA, NASM, AFAA, Les Mills or NETA; Certification must be current during the employment period.
  • All temp casual employees are required to be trained in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens. certifications will be provided by RecWell, if needed
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $19.50 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
