Benefits Administrator

Benefits Administrator will administer childcare subsidy program on behalf of the customer. Work with program participants and childcare providers in the delivery and communications of subsidy benefit.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for: Benefits Administrator $19.00-$21.00 per hour.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Benefits Administrator Responsibilities Include:

  • Provides program participants and childcare providers with overview of subsidy program.
  • Assists participants and childcare providers with application package completion.
  • Verifies application documentation and provides determination on employee eligibility in accordance with program requirements.
  • Reviews invoices in accordance with program requirements.
  • Answers employee and provider verbal and written inquiries.
  • Maintains appropriate records and program documents.
  • Reviews eligibility changes in both the employee and vendors to maintain compliance in accordance with program requirements.
  • Assist with documentation requirements for program audits.
  • Administers customer service delivery related to childcare subsidy programs and troubleshooting with the appropriate parties as necessary.
  • Process annual open enrollment applications, recertifications, and related responsibilities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Benefits Administrator Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Associate's degree and 1-4 years of professional experience in administering benefit/subsidy programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with eligibility determinations and serving in an employee-facing role preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to program participants and childcare providers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of personally identifiable information.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures regarding benefit administration or subsidy programs.
  • Ability to understand and follow policy guidelines.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service and personal services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to pass a Tier 1/Low Risk personnel security investigation.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
