As a Security Officer Access Control Guard in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage site entry, monitor activity, and perform routine patrols. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, strong communication, and customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and entry screening at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and/or reception areas to help support authorized access, document arrivals and departures, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, which may include checking doors, gates, fencing, trailer yards, and loading or shipping areas for security-related concerns.
• Communicate with site personnel regarding deliveries, pickups, and/or visitor processing, while maintaining accurate logs, incident notes, and other required security-related documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
