Salary: Starts at $27.25/ hr. with CDL

A Motor Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of heavy machinery and vehicles used in construction, maintenance, and public works projects. Duties include operating equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, graders, snowplows, and backhoes to perform tasks like road maintenance, snow and ice removal, material transport, and site preparation. The operator conducts routine inspections, performs basic maintenance, and ensures equipment is in proper working condition. This role requires adherence to safety regulations, proper use of personal protective equipment, and awareness of surrounding conditions to prevent accidents. The Motor Equipment Operator may also assist with manual labor, including shoveling, lifting, and general upkeep of work areas. Strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, and a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) are typically required. Experience operating heavy equipment and working in varying weather conditions is preferred for this position.
