Our Buffalo, New York plant is the newest and flagship facility utilizing our proven and growing Surestone technology. This state-of-the-art extrusion and polymer manufacturing site is building strong systems and processes from the ground up, including maintenance support, inventory control, and efficient procurement practices.

Job Summary

The MRO & Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for supporting plant operations through the coordination of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials, inventory, purchasing, and reporting activities. This role helps ensure the plant has the right parts, consumables, and production-related supplies on hand while maintaining accurate records, supporting downtime tracking, and helping identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.

This position works closely with Maintenance, Production, Shipping, Finance, and vendors to keep plant support functions organized, timely, and accurate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the ordering, tracking, and replenishment of MRO parts, consumables, and production-related supplies.

  • Maintain equipment information in the CMMS system (MaintainX).

  • Track parts location, set min/max levels and parts usage in CMMS (MaintainX).

  • Assist with plant maintenance planning.

  • Maintain CMMS (MaintainX) records.

  • Maintain supplier relationships and communicate with vendors to support timely deliveries, issue resolution, and cost savings opportunities.

  • Partner with plant leadership and maintenance teams to ensure needed materials, equipment, and services are available to support operations.

  • Maintain inventory records for maintenance, production, and consumable items; support cycle counts and inventory adjustments as needed.

  • Inspect and verify received materials and supplies for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.

  • Track plant spend and compile pricing information, vendor data, and usage reports to support purchasing analysis and contract comparisons.

  • Prepare and maintain reports related to production activity, inventory, downtime, and maintenance support as required.

  • Support costing updates and documentation as needed in partnership with plant leadership or finance.

  • Maintain spreadsheets, logs, and internal tracking tools for MRO, consumables, and other assigned plant support activities.

  • Assist with special projects related to procurement, maintenance systems, inventory, and plant startup needs.

  • Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other plant programs and meetings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, plant administration, maintenance support, inventory control, or related manufacturing support role.

  • Experience with MRO materials, plant consumables, inventory management, or maintenance coordination preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Experience with ERP systems, purchasing systems, or plant reporting tools preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.

  • Effective communication and vendor/customer service skills; comfortable working with suppliers, plant teams, and leadership.

  • Ability to analyze data, track details, and identify opportunities for process improvement and savings.

  • Professional, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced plant environment.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation & Benefit Information

Salary Pay Range: $65,000-$79,000K annually dependent on experience*

*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Annual performance bonus opportunity based on Company and specific business unit ROI and PBOP achievement criteria and individual job responsibility and performance.
