Position Summary: The Development Manager supports NewView Oklahoma's fundraising and development initiatives by coordinating grant operations, maintaining development systems, and assisting with donor engagement and events. This role manages the internal processes that support NewView's grant funding portfolio while also strengthening the organization's overall development infrastructure.

The Development Manager works closely with the VP of Financial Development & Marketing, contract grant writers, program staff, and finance teams to ensure grant submissions, reporting, donor tracking, and development activities are executed efficiently and in alignment with NewView's mission.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the organization's grant application pipeline, including maintaining grant calendars, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely submission of proposals.
  2. Support grant writing efforts by gathering programmatic and financial data from internal departments and preparing supporting materials for grant proposals.
  3. Manage submission logistics for grant applications, including preparing attachments, coordinating budgets with finance, and ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
  4. Maintain accurate records of grant agreements, deliverables, and reporting deadlines to ensure timely completion of required reports.
  5. Assist with post-award grant management, including coordinating progress reports, impact reporting, and funder communications.
  6. Maintain and update HubSpot with grant records, donor interactions, financial contributions, contacts, and development activities.
  7. Support the development team in tracking key performance indicators, donor engagement metrics, and fundraising reports.
  8. Assist with the coordination and implementation of fundraising events, sponsorship follow-up, and donor stewardship activities.
  9. Represent NewView Oklahoma at community events, networking opportunities, and development-related meetings, particularly within the Oklahoma City area.
  10. Support the cultivation and stewardship of corporate sponsors, foundations, and community partners.
  11. Assist in maintaining development policies, procedures, and best practices that support fundraising operations, grant compliance, and donor engagement.
  12. Collaborate with program and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and alignment between funding requirements and program outcomes.
  13. Provide logistical and administrative support for donor meetings, presentations, and development initiatives.
  14. Assist in the creation of thank you letters, invoices, and necessary follow-up for receipt of gifts, contributions, in-kind support, planned giving, or grant-related funding.
  15. Participate in team meetings, workgroups, and organization-wide initiatives to support NewView's overall fundraising and development goals.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Minimum education, experience, training, licensure, certification):

  • Requires 3-5 years' experience in nonprofit development, grant administration, fundraising operations, or related field.
  • Experience coordinating grant submissions, reporting requirements, and fundraising systems preferred.
  • Experience utilizing customer relationship management tools (HubSpot or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Must possess and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret grant requirements and fundraising data.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting grant writing, donor engagement, or development activities.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present program and financial information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
