      Who You Are...

      As Corporate Payroll Manager, you are responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and timely, payroll taxes are filed and remitted promptly, and other supporting tasks are completed with precision and accuracy. This person will play a critical role in supporting the Company as a proactive leader while creating an employee-centric payroll experience and serving as a strategic partner to People & Culture and Finance.

      This Position...

      Some examples of the work you might do includes:



      • Oversees daily payroll activities of Corporate payroll, such as the accurate and timely execution of weekly and semi-monthly pay cycles, completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings, and prompt payment of all Federal, Multi-State, and Multi-Local payroll taxes.
      • Assists business units with resolving pay issues and addressing escalated payroll issues with urgency.
      • Calculates deductions for new garnishments, responds to court orders and tax levies by stated deadlines, disburses garnishment payments timely.
      • Ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulatory reporting requirements, and internal control policies.
      • Performs tasks related to the completion of the external financial audits, quarterly financial reviews and casualty insurance audits.
      • Maintains accurate record keeping and ensures all payroll tax rates and account numbers are kept current in the Payroll System.
      • Prepares and/or reviews payroll-related general journal entries and performs monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
      • Ensures new online accounts for payroll taxes are opened promptly and tax set up is added to the Payroll System.
      • Performs quarterly review of W2 wage information to ensure all related benefits, and state and local taxes are shown and linked properly to the correct W2 boxes in the Aatrix tax software.


      What You Need...



      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance AND 5+ years of payroll related job experience OR 10+ years of relevant, job related experience.
      • Intermediate to advanced level skill with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
      • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with diverse audiences.
      • Must be detail oriented and able to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
      • Previous experience in researching and interpreting payroll laws and regulations.
      • Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills.
      • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.


      Preferred Qualifications:



      • Experience and/or working knowledge of Viewpoint Vista.
      • Experience and/or working knowledge of UKG.
      • Prior experience in a similar (construction) industry.
      • Certified Payroll Professional or related advanced certification.

      Work Environment:



      • This position operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and printers.


      Physical Demands:



      • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
      • This is considered a sedentary position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
