Job Description




As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Owensville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps support a secure environment. You will document and communicate security-related observations, assist with access control as needed, and deliver professional customer service to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, equipment areas, access roads, parking areas, and perimeter lines; working conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization when required, and document entries, exits, and patrol activity in daily reports.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing initial scene assessment and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Observe for irregular conditions such as unauthorized persons, damaged doors or gates, and/or unusual activity and report findings promptly through established communication channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
