Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role involves efficiently handling, moving, and organizing materials within our facility to support smooth warehouse and order processing operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment. Pay Rate for this role is $20.75 an hour. Primary Duties Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to transport goods within the warehouse. Load, unload, stack, and organize products and materials in designated storage areas according to safety and quality standards. Assist with order processing tasks, including picking, packing, and preparing shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment and promptly report any issues to maintenance personnel. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace, compliant with company policies and OSHA regulations. Collaborate closely with warehouse and logistics teams to prioritize tasks, optimize workflow, and meet operational goals. Strictly follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while performing duties. Participate in safety training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and workplace safety. Qualifications Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment. Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and commitment to safe work practices. Ability to read and interpret shipping orders, labels, and inventory documentation accurately. Physical capability to lift moderate to heavy loads and work in a physically demanding setting. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Basic proficiency in using warehouse management systems or inventory software is preferred. Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail in task execution. #LIMI1 #DAYTONPARTS Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience of at least 1 year as a forklift operator or order processor in a similar industrial or warehouse setting is highly desirable. The US base rate for this full-time position is 20.75. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
