Rank at the time of appointment will be based on the candidate's demonstrated contributions and experience in teaching, clinical, research, and/or service to the field. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Instructor: * 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. * Minimum degree qualifications: PhD and/or PsyD from an APA-accredited program. * Must have prior experience in a pediatric health psychology setting. Sr. Instructor: * 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. * Minimum degree qualifications: PhD and/or PsyD from an APA-accredited program. * Must have prior experience in a pediatric health psychology setting. Assistant Professor: * 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. * Minimum degree qualifications: PhD and/or PsyD from an APA-accredited program. * Must have prior experience in a pediatric health psychology setting. Associate Professor: * 4-7 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. * Minimum degree qualifications: PhD and/or PsyD from an APA-accredited program. * Must have prior experience in a pediatric health psychology setting. Professor: * 7+ years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. * Minimum degree qualifications: PhD and/or PsyD from an APA-accredited program. * Must have prior experience in a pediatric health psychology setting. Track: Open Track: To support the growth of our faculty, selected candidates at the Assistant Professor level or higher will be offered the opportunity to choose a track that corresponds to their area of excellence. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working with pediatric populations with medical complexity, pain, and/or neurological conditions. * Experience and skill in consulting with medical colleagues and healthcare staff Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To be successful in this position, candidates will need the following: * Demonstrated skills in the use of developmentally and diagnostically appropriate screening and assessment tools. * Demonstrated skills using evidence-based treatment models including but not limited to motivational interviewing strategies, consultation models, and flexible application of cognitive-behavioral therapies to address medical and mental health concerns * Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team model and with medical providers, psychosocial providers, trainees, and colleagues. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team and with colleagues, medical specialists, and trainees * Clinical skill is required for conducting brief and targeted assessments, consultations, and interventions in integrated healthcare settings * Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clinical information-sharing, training and supervision, and presentations/education to community and medical audiences * Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and maintain a well-organized work environment * Capacity for flexibility and adaptability in different work situations * Experience supervising psychology trainees and educating medical trainees/colleagues |
