Lead BGOV's product strategy and roadmap to deliver a trusted, mission critical intelligence and workflow platform for public affairs teams in a rapidly evolving policy and regulatory environment. Develop deep, current understanding of customers' changing business needs, especially in corporate public affairs, and translate those needs into practical, measurable solutions across monitoring, analysis, collaboration, and reporting. Manage and coach a team of product managers, and partner closely with engineering, design, and BGOV's news and research organizations to take ideas from customer discovery through delivery. Collaborate with sales and go to market teams to position and launch enhancements that strengthen BGOV's reliability and credibility, differentiate us competitively, and increase adoption, retention, and customer outcomes.
What you will do:
  • Collaborate with leadershipto establish strategy and priorities for ourbusiness'sofferingsbased on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer interaction.
  • Drive overall product roadmap and product plan execution/ deliveryforourproduct suitethrough direct management of theproduct team.
  • Collaborate closely with design, data analytics and engineering to discover effective solutions, develop technical roadmap and drive product delivery.
  • Understandour business's,markets, competition, and user requirements in depth.
  • Consult with sales, operations,marketingand product teams to ensure that all new opportunities are evaluated, tested, and rolled out together.
  • Define metrics and systems to track product performance. Clearly communicate performance and use data to evaluate and prioritize roadmap.
  • Engage with users regularly to develop a deep understanding of their business and data visualization needs and how they engagewith our products.
You need to have:
  • A deep understanding of product management and shipping successful digitalproducts, typically obtained by several years as a product manager.
  • Approximately 5+ years of experience directly managing product staff.
  • Deepunderstanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
  • Experience with designing and deliveringdemos/prototypes to showcase vision to stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.
