Overview
Summary The Senior Director, FP&A leads a team of financial analysis experts that provide pertinent and timely analysis of the financial performance of the business, as well as leading and coordinating the budgeting and forecasting process, including the short- and long-term projection of revenue and earnings over varying economic scenarios. This position operates in close cooperation with all business leaders to prepare management reports and presentations for the Operating Committee and the Board of Directors. This position is also an active participant in special projects and ad-hoc analysis with frequent interaction with Business Unit leads and senior management. The role will also be responsible for maintaining and assessing C1's Total Addressable Market (TAM) and market share in the various markets in which C1 participates, as well as various market analysis. The position is also responsible for assisting in the economic analysis related to acquisitions including the development of financial projections and evaluation of scenarios for all M&A activity, identification of overlapping operations/costs and integration of acquisitions.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions FP&A - Services
Develops, refines and leads forecasting process including monthly forecasting and reporting (current actuals/future outlook) Annual Budget and Mid-Year Forecast for Proprietary and Professional Services businesses
- Develops and prepares senior management reports and presentations for distribution to a range of business leaders and stakeholders
- Develops, improves and manages internal financial reporting including operational metrics / KPIs
- Develop insights/recommendations to drive margin expansion and profitability growth
- Provides decision support and ad-hoc analysis to management across product/segment profitability
- Manage and augment a team of analysts that support the Services businesses
Market Analysis
- Conducts market research and market share analysis, preparing in-depth, fact-based market share assessments of C1 performance relative to participants within the TAM
- Develops quarterly / annual assessment of C1 performance in total, by practice and by segment to key publicly traded companies, IT market research data and any publicly available data on privately held companies
- Provides decision support and ad-hoc analysis to management across technology practices, geographies and manufacturers to drive meaningful insights into C1 performance
- Prepares customized presentations for business executive teams and the C1 Board of Directors
M&A
- Oversees M&A project management processes including development of candidate growth hypothesis, due diligence, financial planning, scoping, closing, and integration
- Create merger valuation thesis for proposed acquisitions (operational, financial, synergies)
- Analyzes mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures and develops financial models estimating revenue growth, profitability, and impact on the organization's strategic business plans
- Conducts due diligence to understand the target company's business and legal practices, liabilities, financial standing, and intellectual property
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- College degree in Finance or related field
- 5+ years finance experience
- Experience reviewing GAAP financials and ability to identify trends
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
- Demonstrated ability to piece together fragments of information, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns, and drawing and framing conclusions in real-time
- Ability to lead a team of financial analysis experts
