Under supervision, the Clinical Study Coordinator will contribute to the study of genetic causes of pediatric brain diseases, such as epilepsy, autism, spina bifida, and mental retardation. Duties include consenting and recruitment of human subjects, obtaining and evaluating medical records, MRI's, and performing intake evaluations from clinicians throughout the world. Maintain direct communications with physician-scientist collaborators located worldwide. Work closely with counterparts at Rady Children's Hospital and the Rady Institute of Genomic Medicine. Collect patient blood, saliva and other biological material (brain tissue, cerebrospinal fluid, sperm, cadaveric tissues). Coordinate the processing and storage of human samples for subsequent genetic experiments. Interact with electronic medical records systems and genetic evaluation systems to link genotype with phenotype. Coordinate all Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications for submission to the human subjects committee office for protocol approval. Maintain patient database. Provide work direction in the duties of other lab personnel and students. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $65,208 - $104,901 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $31.23 - $50.24 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
