About the Opportunity:

As a vital member of our team, you'll dive into the dynamic world of aerospace manufacturing, collaborating with seasoned professionals to revolutionize the industry. You'll have the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting, gaining hands-on experience in logistics and materials.

Location: Malden, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Develop documentation and training standards for Logistics workflows
    • Create work instructions aligned with internal, regulatory, and customer standards
    • Create cross-training matrix by area and Material Handler level (I, II, III)
    • Perform time studies as needed
    • Eliminate redundant processes and paperwork
  • Define and implement process improvements to eliminate internal and external escapes
    • Error proof shipping documentation and labeling
    • Error proof material issues
    • Improve part traceability
    • Introduce barcode scanning
  • Maximize WH organization and efficiency
    • Perform data analysis on WH movements
    • Implement visual factory and 5S standards
    • Support creation and execution of new WH layout
    • Ensure accurate inventory counts through transformation
    • Partner with finance for disposition of E&O inventory

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma and be actively enrolled in an accredited University prefer industrial engineering degree
  • 1 year experience in manufacturing setting

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment (Safety Glasses & Safety Shoes).
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand, and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
