Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Analyst with our client located in Austin, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business owners and technology staff to elicit, analyze, translate, and document
  • business requirements into functional requirements
  • Build and maintain a broad view of business processes to understand dependencies,
  • redundancies, and cross functional impacts
  • Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with the user community
  • Develop use cases to explain the business requirements and contribute a business
  • user's perspective during design sessions
  • Coordinate across IT to determine if solutions to business requirements currently
  • exist within the organization, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible
  • Create and maintain documentation on business areas' processes and business rules
  • Manage user testing and training for new technology and solutions
  • Identify, translate, and document requirements for custom and commercial off the shelf
  • (COTS) software, technology configurations, & implementations
  • Interacts with senior management/leadership as needed
  • Identify business opportunities and threats; recognize organizational strengths and weaknesses
  • Mentor and work with other business analysts as required

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer technology, business, or
  • related field
  • 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in software
  • development
  • Business analysis/requirements analysis experience in support of commercial
  • off-the-shelf and custom software solutions and SaaS implementation
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to question business units
  • Proven experience with process mapping and documentation, including change
  • control and identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products/applications
  • Experience with custom software development, Software as a Service (SaaS) or integration
  • projects
  • Ability to serve as the translator between business area users and technical staff
  • Ability to work effectively on both large, cross-functional teams and independently
  • Ability to lead and facilitate group work sessions
  • Strong customer service, analytical and research skills
  • Skilled at creating professional documentation using MS Office tools
  • In-depth understanding of various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)

Desired skills:
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) certification
