You will conduct routine checks, remain highly visible, and document activity using site tools and/or technology. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors at a government location by following security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct entry screening operations including verifying credentials, managing visitor sign-in, and performing bag and package inspections using approved screening methods and equipment to help to deter prohibited items.
  • Monitor access points, queues, and public-facing areas for unusual activity, maintaining clear communication with site personnel and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activities and escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and screening documentation accurately, supporting site rules for restricted items, property handling, and chain-of-custody practices as applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
