Security Officer - Roving Patrol

As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in Channahon, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, report concerns promptly, and work as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring, people-first culture and integrity at every step.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry and/or exit, including checking identification, issuing visitor directions, and documenting deliveries and pickups per location procedures.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and completing required reports.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns discovered during rounds, and communicate findings to the appropriate contacts following post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
