DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will create awareness of veterans' housing and transportation matters and garner support to enable and facilitate the provision of related services. Your work will involve planning outreach programs to educate the public and spread awareness of veterans' housing and transportation issues. You will also develop initiatives and projects to provide related support to veterans in need. Some of your duties will include identifying housing and transportation services required, maintaining statewide lists of support, and developing methods for analyzing the impacts of initiatives and efforts. Additionally, you will liaison with the Department of Corrections to assist recently paroled veterans with potential housing and transportation needs. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, 5 out of 10 days in a pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Jonestown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirement:
- You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience in a housing and/or transportation focused role, including experience in outreach, grants, procurement, or community development
