Job Description




As a Security Guard - Medical Facility Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, you will complete routine rounds, remain a visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns with calm professionalism. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through clear communication, customer service, and timely reporting, helping to deter unwanted activity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and actions per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas such as entrances, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying visitor credentials as required, directing traffic flow, and/or assisting with wayfinding while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Monitor cameras and other systems as assigned, report maintenance hazards and/or unusual conditions, and coordinate with local staff and/or emergency services as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
