As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, greet employees and visitors, and support a professional visitor process. You will monitor activity, document security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce disruptions. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs at a utilities location.
• Monitor gates, doors, alarms, and/or video systems to help to deter unauthorized entry, and report irregular activity per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities and notifying Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including building entrances, restricted areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Complete security-related reports and documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and access records, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
