Job Description




As a Security Officer - Shift Lead Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and perimeter checks. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer service with integrity while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical facility.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, processing areas, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization for employees, contractors, and visitors in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, spill-related notifications, and/or coordination with on-site management and first responders as directed by post orders.
  • Complete written reports and logs, including patrol findings, incident documentation, and shift activity, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
