Your Job A Data & Analytics Leader is responsible for establishing and scaling a cohesive, enterprise-grade analytics capability that enables KES business units to make better, faster, and more consistent decisions. With "Data as the foundation" strategy, this role focuses on business analytics strategy, business intelligence architecture, analytics enablement, and AI readiness, ensuring that data is structured, governed, and understandable enough to support both human-driven analytics and AI-assisted insights. You must show a proven ability to manage complex requirements while understanding the appropriate risk profile of a project to determine the correct solution. Daily challenges will arise that require more soft skill expertise than technical expertise - meaning, you cannot rely on technical aptitude alone to be successful. You must realize and show the ability to understand the business direction, objectives, and parties involved to get to the best outcome. A candidate who is a self-starter and looks to be proactive will be a great fit for this opportunity. This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship. What You Will Do * Partner with Solution Delivery & Product teams, and Data team peers to recommend and build data products, then lead the technical solutioning process to establish data transformation, semantic layering, and readiness for presentation layer to reach business outcomes. * Leverage expertise in multiple technical domains as part of solutioning process (Software Engineering, Application Review/Selection, Security, Networking, Cloud Infrastructure, etc.) * Experimentation - Identify and experiment with solutions to solve problems new to the organization * Drive data governance practices and frameworks. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * 5+ years of experience leading data engineers, analytics engineers, data architects, or BI developers in their work. * Experience with data stores (Snowflake, Redshift, PostgreSQL, NoSQL) * Experience with modern cloud-based platforms and tools (AWS, Microsoft, Salesforce, SaaS vendors) * Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, schema management. * Familiarity with event-driven architectures, microservices, analytical concepts, AI concepts, cloud technology & services * Proven experience communicating technology in both execution detail and broad concepts to various audiences * Demonstrated capability partnering with customers to understand business and operating models to develop data pipeline proposals. What Will Put You Ahead * Experience in creating data products & pipeline in discreate engineering & manufacturing * Track record of leading a successful cloud migration or modernization of legacy data/analytics platforms at scale. * Hands-on implementation of data mesh or federated data product architectures. * Experience implementing/leveraging Master Data Management platforms * Experience with Dataiku, dbt, MS Fabric, graph database technology * Experience with operational technology (OT) / IoT data, streaming analytics, and edge-to-cloud integrations * Experience with DevOps methodologies, processes and tools (CI/CD, GitHub, Lean, Azure DevOps) * Bachelor's degree in CIS, MIS, CS, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
