Job Description




As a Security Officer - Entry Control in Marion, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location where you will manage access control, verify credentials and badges, and help maintain smooth entry for employees, contractors, and visitors. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering standout customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, checking badges, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to authorized areas within an industrial location.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned, document unusual activity, and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, medical calls, and/or notifications per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, complete required logs and reports, and help to deter unauthorized access. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
