As a Security Officer - Access Control in Laredo, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, log visitors and deliveries, and support a smooth flow of drivers, associates, and vendors. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and document security-related activity using site systems. Bring teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first approach to every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entrances and/or gate areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing traffic to approved areas.
• Monitor inbound and outbound truck and trailer activity by checking shipping documentation, recording unit numbers and seal information, and reporting irregularities per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting details, and assisting with scene control as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, including checking doors, bays, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Have a state, county, or city issued security license preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
