A leading automotive organization is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to support advanced diagnostics, warranty investigations, and technical analysis. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician with strong mechanical and electrical expertise who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and data-driven analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all duties associated with Technician Level 2, with expanded responsibility for complex investigations.
• Conduct disassembly, inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of automotive components using specialized tools, scan tools, and diagnostic software.
• Perform hands-on investigations of returned warranty parts, reviewing repair orders, technician notes, service history, and technical documentation.
• Identify non-warrantable claims, suspicious repairs, and dealer non-compliance with warranty policies.
• Document findings with detailed reports and photographs within internal chargeback and case management systems.
• Analyze repair trends, high-cost parts, and failure patterns to support corrective actions.
• Escalate questionable claims and discrepancies to senior technical leadership.
• Install and evaluate test components on vehicles to duplicate and validate reported concerns.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support the development of technical service bulletins (TSBs), diagnostics, and training materials.

Qualifications

• ASE Master Technician certification, equivalent automotive technical certification, or a 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Advanced knowledge of automotive repair procedures, diagnostics, electrical systems, and service documentation.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with dealers, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
