Job Description




As a Security Officer - Access Control in Paragould, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control while remaining visible and approachable. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to routine needs with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, team members, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reports of unauthorized access, disturbances, property damage, and/or medical events, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter lines to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions needing attention.
  • Monitor access control points by observing inbound and outbound vehicle and foot traffic, checking identification and/or shipping documentation as directed, and directing visitors and contractors to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Complete routine documentation such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant updates to incoming officers and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
