Job Title: Paralegal

Location: Bellevue, WA 98006 (Hybrid - in-office at least 3 days/week, 5 days/week during training)
Contract Duration: 12+ months



Job Overview

We are seeking a Paralegal (Labor and Employment) to join a corporate legal department on a contract basis. The role will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal team members to support employment-related matters, including responding to third-party subpoenas and managing litigation documentation. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.



Key Responsibilities



  • Assist with responses to third-party legal requests, including subpoenas, summonses, and search warrants for employment records and information.
  • Collect, organize, and manage documentation from multiple sources in response to legal requests.
  • Support multiple employment cases, such as agency charges and demand letters, from initiation through resolution.
  • Provide litigation support to other paralegals, including document collection, organization, and production.
  • Manage case dockets, track deadlines, and maintain files within the matter management system.
  • Draft and issue litigation holds for assigned cases.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the legal department.



Qualifications



  • Experience: 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in labor and employment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize work, and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and legal software (e.g., Workday, DocuSignCM, TeamConnect).
  • Knowledge of legal research tools such as Courtlink and LexisNexis is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with general legal concepts, terminology, and principles related to litigation.
  • Ability to interface effectively with various teams across the legal department and organization.
  • Experience with immigration law or corporate immigration functions is a plus.



Education



  • Associate degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent relevant work experience.



Additional Information



  • This position requires hybrid work: in-office presence at least 3 days per week, 5 days per week during training.
  • Contract duration: 12 months.
