Scope of Position

This position oversees the daily operations of Patient Access Coordinator staff working within the Ambulatory Rehabilitation Department at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Daily operations include, but is not limited to, ensuring accurate patient registration for billing, scheduling, clinical operations and statistical purposes, timely processing of documents needed for compliance of regulatory requirements, optimizing reimbursement, personnel management, clinic operations, and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction levels. This position requires the ability to work with multiple computerized systems with different rules and operational methods. The Supervisor is also required to travel to multiple locations on a regular basis and is responsible for the training and orienting of all personnel who report to them.

Position Summary

The Supervisor has primary responsibility for the daily management of all registration, billing, financial processing, scheduling and access management, precertifications, and CMS compliance standards for Ambulatory Rehabilitation clinics. This includes direction of staff in programmatic operations needed to assure compliance with quality standards and regulations established by the Medical Center. Financial processing includes minimizing write-offs and denials and promotion of point of service collection initiatives established by the Medical Center. Customer satisfaction includes maintaining excellent customer satisfaction levels. The Supervisor will also assist in the development of job descriptions, postings, and hiring, while also overseeing the orientation and training and professional development of their employees in compliance with department operations.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
