Tesla is looking for ahighly-motivatedengineer to contribute to implementing Manufacturing Engineering and lean principles to the manufacturing process of ourcutting-edgeEV Products at Gigafactory Texas in Austin, Texas. Through a detailed understanding of the factoryobjectivesand extensive collaboration with internal and external teams, you will help improve processes to increase overall efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Tesla's world class manufacturing facility in Texas. Tesla is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work on a critical subsystem of an incredibly exciting product.

What You'll Do
  • Work with manufacturing engineering and production teams toidentifyproduction constraints
  • Collaborate with production engineering teams todetermineoverall equipment effectiveness and associated improvement strategies
  • Perform value-stream analysisthrough the use ofsimulations
  • Work with the external teams designing production lines for the factory to ensure that their layouts align withthe overall planand vision for the factory
  • Support decision making on process layoutthrough the use ofdata

What You'll Bring
  • Experience performing detailed analysis necessary to make data driven decisions on process layout design, production line design or warehouse design
  • Familiar with Discrete Event Simulation software like Flexsim andAnyLogic
  • Able to gain buy-in from a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with MOS/MES systems is a plus
  • Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Degree inMechanical Engineer, ManufacturingEngineering or equivalentexperience
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
