About the role: As a Catalyst Engineer you will work with potential leaders in several departments with growing responsibility. You will rotate through multiple departments at Westinghouse. The focus will be in Manufacturing Operations at our Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF), Specialties Metal Plant (SMP), and Western Zirconium (WZ) manufacturing facilities. Before starting your career in our Product Engineering department, you will have this rotating experience. The focus in Product Engineering will be on Nuclear Fuel and Core Component Design and Development. You will report to the Manager - Fuels and work a hybrid role based in Colombia, SC. Key Responsibilities: For each rotation, develop an understanding of the strategic direction of the department and the business environment and evaluate how business strategies align with the direction of the business. Identify areas of improvement and use data analysis skills to propose solutions to enhance the efficiency of each rotational department. Develop a foundation of leadership During your rotations, you can expect job tasks where you will: Work with product development teams for implementation of manufacturing processes Support cost and schedule estimates for equipment, tooling and new process implementation Support qualification of processes, tooling, and equipment to ensure long-term manufacturability and process yields Fabricate components to support new product testing Upon completion of your three rotations, you'll rejoin your Product Engineering team in Columbia, SC, Qualifications: Completion of BS in Mechanical Engineering (or comparable technical degree) 0+ years of experience. Knowledge of basic engineering principles and techniques. Good teamwork skills. Exceptional academic achievement Demonstrated leadership capabilities Flexibility to relocate based on the job rotations Experience in SolidWorks, Ansys, and MATLAB helpful We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
