About the Role

DaVita is seeking a handson Principal Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of largescale, cloudnative and AIenabled platforms that power critical enterprise systems. This role blends deep technical execution with architecture leadership, requiring someone who can both design and build complex systems while influencing engineering standards across teams. You will work closely with product, architecture, and engineering leaders to shape scalable, secure, and resilient platforms-while actively writing and reviewing productiongrade code.

Job Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java frameworks and knowledge in .NET Core for building scalable, high-performance applications.

• Solid expertise in object-oriented design, multithreading, and enterprise application development.

• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.

• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native development.

• Proficiency in database design and performance optimization in Oracle, Spanner, Big Query.

• Strong knowledge of security best practices, authentication/authorization, and cloud security concepts.

• Experience with AI technologies and frameworks.

• • Implementation knowledge of Agentic using Langchain & Langgraph

  • Copilot/Glean usage with IDE

  • Integration with Cloud AI Solutions like Vertex AI, Gemini AI

  • Familiarity with RAG Grounding with Enterprise Data

  • Good knowledge in prompting

  • ADK

• Must have experience in implementing integrations using Kafka, Informatica B2B, CSB etc

• Exposure to Camunda and ODM is a plus

• Must have hands-on experience.

Architecture, Analysis & Design

• Demonstrated ability to lead system analysis, architecture design, and technical decision-making for complex enterprise systems.

• Expertise in software design patterns, domain-driven design (DDD), and SOLID principles.

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.

• Experience reviewing and improving existing system architectures for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Act as a technical leader and mentor, guiding senior and junior engineers.

• Drive coding standards, best practices, and technical excellence across teams.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.

• Lead design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior or principal engineering role.

• Experience working in agile environments and delivering large-scale, production-grade systems.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
