Job Description




As a Security Officer - Day Shift Weekdays in Coopersburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with onsite teams, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity, all within a caring culture that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, labs, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and report suspicious or unauthorized persons and/or activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, fire alarms, and facility-related concerns, and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, documenting observations, patrols, and follow-up actions.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support site procedures for deliveries and after-hours activity by observing receiving areas and reporting irregularities through the established chain of command.
  • Operate site communications equipment such as phones, radios, and computer-based reporting tools as required by post orders.
  • Escalate maintenance concerns such as lighting outages, damaged doors, and access control issues to site contacts to support a security-related posture.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal management and site representatives, following post orders and instructions for shift turnover and special assignments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
