Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Product Development Engineer to Develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and/or systems for semiconductor products. Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifestyle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. Interact with internal and external customers to understand their issues, helping them to debug their flow to converge on their critical design needs, and creating their use-case to reproduce the issues to drive the successful adoption. Key responsibilities involve facilitating adoption of company's AI/ML inferencing solutions by developing customer on-boarding and delivering best-in-class customer experience. Work with R&D, marketing and key customers to drive the evolution of the product and support strategic business engagements leveraging company's AI/ML inferencing solutions including development state-of-the-art AI models for company's hardware platform.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires experience in the following:

• AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch;
• C, C++, or Python;
• Git;
• LLM (Large Language Model) performance optimization;
• AI Inference flow optimization;
• AI model benchmarking and accuracy validation;
• Quantizing and Pruning ML frameworks or features; and
• GPU Architecture, CPU Architecture, or SoC Architecture.

Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, or internship experience.
