Vice President, GSAM Sales and Marketing Strats - New York

Who We Are

The Client Solutions Group within Goldman Sachs Asset Management is the primary client coverage and sales organization, partnering with institutional clients and financial advisors globally to deliver investment solutions, strategic advice, and access to the full suite of GSAM products and services.

The Sales and Marketing Strats team is dedicated to empowering sales teams by delivering actionable insights and analytics to management and sales leaders across the organization. Our mission is to drive sales effectiveness and growth by leveraging a wide array of datasets-including competitor intelligence, vendor product data and CRM-to provide critical perspectives on prospective client bases, KPIs, and regional coverage. We design and build interactive dashboards and monitoring tools front-to-back, including web applications, workflow orchestration, database design and technical integrations with our data pipelines. We are increasingly utilizing AI and machine learning-driven solutions to help sales teams make data-informed decisions and achieve their objectives. As a rapidly expanding function, this role offers significant opportunities for creativity, ideation, and impact.

What You'll Do

As a Team Lead in our New York office, you will:



  • Build and lead a team of quantitative strategists focused on sales analytics and enablement.
  • Balance team management responsibilities with individual contribution to high-impact projects.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of proprietary infrastructure, libraries, and APIs to support analytical tools.
  • Collaborate closely with tech and product management teams to develop tools and analytics on top of robust data ingestion pipelines.
  • Partner with sales management and field leaders to understand business needs and deliver tailored insights and solutions.
  • Champion the adoption of agentic tools and machine learning techniques to enhance sales processes and make recommendations for prospecting.
  • Ensure systems and tools are scalable, resilient, and adaptable to evolving business requirements.


What We're Looking For



  • 6-8 years of experience in quantitative, technical, or analytics-focused roles, with a proven track record of managing teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Technical degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with data engineering, databases (SQL, MongoDB), and workflow orchestration.
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tools such as Kubernetes.
  • Deep understanding of sales analytics, KPIs, and business intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across the full technology stack, from infrastructure to user interfaces.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to partner with global teams and diverse stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in sales analytics, CRM data, or business intelligence within financial services.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML techniques and their application in sales or client analytics.
  • Prior experience building and scaling production systems in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $130000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
