Job Description




As a Security Officer - Factory Roving Patrol in Fountain Inn, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed patrol officer, helping maintain a welcoming, orderly environment through routine patrols, visible presence, access control support, and clear incident reporting. You will engage employees and visitors with strong customer service and communication while using technology to document security-related activity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the proper chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter, as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, issuing visitor instructions, and directing foot and vehicle traffic.
  • Complete routine rounds and observations to identify unusual conditions such as unsecured doors, propped exits, damaged fencing, or lighting issues, then report findings to site contacts.
  • Perform vehicle and/or trailer checks as directed, observing for irregularities and reporting concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarm panels when assigned, reporting activations and irregular activity.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and service requests in written logs and/or electronic reports with clear, factual details.
  • Coordinate with Allied Universal leadership, site management, and responding public services during incidents, providing timely updates and requested information.
  • Support site operations by enforcing posted rules in a professional manner and assisting with routine requests such as directions, badge recovery guidance, and after-hours entry procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • A pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
