You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing clear, respectful communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, vendors, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate location.
  • Monitor and document inbound and outbound traffic, including employee arrivals, visitor check-in and check-out, and deliveries and/or shipments, in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by coordinating with drivers and dock personnel, verifying delivery information, and reporting unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or property damage. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Operate security-related systems such as access control panels, alarms, radios, and/or video monitoring equipment, and report system issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports, including daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, with clear and timely documentation.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to visitors and employees while supporting site rules related to restricted areas, personal protective equipment requirements, and traffic flow.
  • Participate in drills and follow established procedures for fire, severe weather, medical events, and/or other facility emergencies as directed by site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
