As a Security Officer - Industrial Roving Patrol in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication and strong customer service. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to staff, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including equipment alarms, access control issues, disturbances, and medical events, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards such as damaged fencing, open doors, or suspicious conditions.
- Control access through designated entrances by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and exit documentation per site policy.
- Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and other monitoring systems to identify irregular activity, then take appropriate actions consistent with post orders and escalation procedures.
- Perform vehicle and delivery checkpoint screening as required, including directing traffic flow, verifying shipping and receiving documentation, and coordinating with site personnel for dock access.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation, including observations, actions taken, and follow-up needs, using Allied Universal reporting tools.
- Communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal supervision via radio, phone, and/or written reporting, and assist with site announcements and coordination during unusual events.
- Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, severe weather response, and lockdown actions, including guiding personnel to muster points and accounting processes as assigned.
- Maintain a professional presence, follow uniform and appearance standards, and provide courteous assistance while enforcing site-specific policies in a consistent manner.
Minimum Requirements: - 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
- 2+ years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
