Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex - Manufacturing Site in McAllen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site leaders and team members, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal management per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, docks, office spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verifying authorization for entry, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and maintaining required logs.
  • Perform routine checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas, reporting unsecured conditions, damaged property, and/or maintenance concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Observe for unusual activity such as loitering, trespassing, and/or potential theft indicators, and take appropriate action consistent with site procedures.
  • Document patrols, inspections, incidents, and service requests in written and/or electronic reports, maintaining clear and complete records.
  • Assist with emergency and non-emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical calls, and/or facility shutdowns by following site instructions and coordinating with responding personnel.
  • Operate communication systems such as radios, phones, and/or access control tools as assigned, escalating concerns when needed.
  • Support client personnel and drivers with directions, check-in processes, and general assistance while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
