As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol in Lakewood, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and clear communication. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and partner with site teams to keep processes running smoothly. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking lots, and the exterior perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or potential hazards.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and/or designated checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing visitors to approved areas.
  • Monitor and respond to alarms, calls for service, and radio traffic; investigate disturbances and/or suspicious activity and report findings to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance and coordinating notifications to appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by observing truck traffic, documenting inbound and outbound activity as required, and reporting irregularities such as damaged seals and/or unapproved entry attempts.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs with accurate, timely, and detailed information, including patrol observations and actions taken.
  • Maintain presence at assigned posts and remain prepared to re-deploy to priority areas as directed, adjusting duties based on changing site conditions and operational needs.
  • Use CCTV and/or other monitoring systems when assigned to observe activity, document noteworthy events, and communicate concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Promote a professional environment by providing directions, answering questions, and de-escalating conflicts when possible while following site policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
