Job Description




As a Security Officer - Marina Patrol Driver in Hainesport, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced transportation and logistics location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support access control, report hazards and unusual activity, and assist team members and visitors with strong customer service. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license per AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Complete patrols of yards, parking areas, loading docks, and building entrances to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points for drivers, employees, and visitors, following sign-in procedures and directing individuals to the appropriate area.
  • Observe outbound and inbound truck traffic for irregularities and report concerns per site procedures.
  • Perform interior checks of common areas, restrooms, break areas, and corridors, noting maintenance issues and reporting hazards per site policy.
  • Monitor alarms, radios, and/or phone calls as assigned, and dispatch notifications to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts when needed.
  • Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions in daily logs and incident reports with clear, factual details.
  • Support emergency and incident response by assisting with evacuations, traffic control, and scene control as directed by site leadership and/or responding authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
