As a Security Guard - Tech Site - Weekends in Hillsboro, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a tech and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor interactions. You will document activity, communicate clearly with site contacts and your team, and respond to concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior spaces, exterior perimeter areas, parking areas, and critical equipment rooms as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor and respond to alarms, access control notifications, and video surveillance activity, and report unusual activity per post orders.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and/or vendor logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire-related alarms, power or environmental alerts, and suspicious activity, and coordinate notifications to site contacts and public responders as directed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation in a timely manner, including observations, actions taken, and follow-up needs.
  • Perform security-related checks of doors, gates, and secured areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or damage to property.
  • Provide security-related escorts for visitors, vendors, and contractors when required, including during deliveries, maintenance activities, and after-hours work.
  • Communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site stakeholders using phone, radio, and/or email, and assist with service requests per site procedures.
  • Support site continuity by observing environmental conditions such as temperature, water leaks, and other facility indicators when assigned, and reporting concerns through established channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
