Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Pharma Company in Cambridge MA

Sunday - Thursday 11 PM - 7 AM

Starting Pay is $24.70 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training / Free Parking or 5 Minutes From T Station

Ideal Candidate has Customer Service, Alarm and Access Control Experience and is Comfortable With Computers

As a Security Officer in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Dispatch Security Professional at a healthcare location, you will monitor activity, coordinate calls for service, and support officers in the field while maintaining clear, professional communication. You will complete routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and assist with security-related reporting and customer service for staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Operate the dispatch function by receiving calls for service, monitoring radio traffic, prioritizing requests, and coordinating officer response to alarms, incidents, and service needs.
  • Monitor access control, alarms, and video surveillance systems as assigned, document observed concerns, and notify appropriate personnel per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear communications to officers, site leadership, and emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records including dispatch logs, incident reports, shift activity logs, and key control documentation per site requirements.
  • Support visitor management and badging procedures as assigned, including verifying identification and directing individuals to the proper destination.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Assist with de-escalation and customer service support during disruptive situations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations through presence and prompt reporting.
  • Perform other security-related duties as assigned in support of site operations and regulatory expectations common to healthcare and pharmaceutical environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Lifting more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
