What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate a front desk post in an aero and defense location, greeting employees, visitors and vendors and directing them according to site procedures.
  • Manage access control at the reception area by checking identification, validating credentials and/or badges, and maintaining controlled entry in accordance with site requirements.
  • Process visitor check-in and check-out, issue temporary credentials when authorized, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
  • Coordinate with authorized points of contact for visit approvals, notifications and/or escort requirements, and communicate restrictions as needed.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras and other security-related systems from the front desk and report unusual activity according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Assist with inbound telephone and radio communications, routing calls and messages to appropriate departments and/or responders.
  • Support package, mail and delivery screening processes per site policy, including documenting deliveries and coordinating handoff to authorized personnel.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports and other required documentation to support continuity across shifts.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional front desk presence, observing the reception area and reporting policy violations to supervision.
  • Work with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives to follow post orders, participate in briefings and support site-specific compliance requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
