As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will drive and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and assist guests and team members with professionalism. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and communicate clearly with site leadership and local responders when needed. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspected shoplifting, and medical situations, and notify appropriate parties per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances and exits, stock areas as directed, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor customer and associate traffic for unusual activity and help to deter theft and disorder through high-visibility presence and professional interaction.
- Control access at designated doors and receiving areas as directed, verifying authorized entry and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors to the proper check-in process.
- Observe and report hazards such as spills, blocked aisles, damaged fixtures, or unsecured doors, and communicate concerns to site management for correction.
- Assist with closing and opening procedures as assigned, including perimeter checks, door checks, and reporting unsecured areas.
- Write detailed reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents, and complete required logs and documentation in a timely manner.
- Communicate clearly with site management, local law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed, and use radios and other communication tools per policy.
- Support loss prevention and store operations by providing a professional presence during peak shopping hours, special events, and high-traffic periods.
Minimum Requirements: - - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- - Customer service experience is preferred.
- - A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- - A guard card or license is preferred.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
