SUMMARY
Under general supervision, responsible for becoming qualified to operate Drying, Wet Process, Mining and Utility-Yard.

When not performing in any of these classifications, the Floater is responsible for working odd jobs throughout the plant on a needed basis. These activities include but are not limited to; mowing grass, weed eating, assisting maintenance in performing maintenance-type work, operating heavy equipment: skid steer loader, wheel loader, scraper, grader or dozer. Repairing/installing irrigation systems, painting, digging with and utilizing a shovel and other work as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Follows established policies and procedures as established by the company, including safety procedures.
* Learns and utilizes established communication procedures.
* Demonstrates the importance of safety and quality in every aspect of the job.
* Safely operates equipment.
* Performs all duties related to the operation of various mobile and stationary equipment in the plant.
* Performs preventive maintenance and lubrication on the mobile equipment.
* Hauls off oversize material and load trucks with a wheel loader when necessary.
* Keeps area clean from sand spills, and clears waste sand when it accumulates.
* Performs common maintenance in assigned areas.
* Fills in for vacancies in other production areas which qualified for. Also, trains to become qualified for all areas of production.
* Performs scheduled and unscheduled refueling and various oil replenishments
* Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
* Abides by G3 safety policies and procedures.
* Trains other employees as required.
* Works as part of a team.
* Observes recycling guidelines and limits waste of materials and supplies.
* Performs other tasks as appropriate to support fellow employees in a team environment.
* Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
* Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
* Required to comply with company, state, and government health and safety regulations.
* Required to pass pre-employment medical exam which includes a chest x-ray
* Required to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime when necessary.
* Required to fill in for vacancies on short notice.
* Required to frequently lift and move up to 75 pounds.
* Experience working with mobile equipment.
* Basic mechanical understanding to perform preventive maintenance on the mobile equipment and common maintenance in the work areas.
* Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
* Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
* Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* One year of experience or training in mining.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold and risk of electrical shock. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment can range from low to high.
